Documents needed to sell a flat

Before you start selling a flat and put it on the market, you need certain documents to avoid surprises and wasted time.

If the buyer is using a mortgage, their bank will ask for a lot of documentation on the property to carry out a legal, tax and charges check.

The notary will also ask you for a number of documents to bring to the signing of the public deed.

Not having these documents up to date and to hand will make the sale difficult or even impossible.

Other documents required

Some sales require other documents because of their particular circumstances.

  • Powers of attorney
